This Privacy Policy explains how Travel Publisher handles information when you use the local application and its connected third-party services. Travel Publisher is designed as a local-first tool: its public website is informational and does not provide the video-processing application.
Information processed locally
Your original videos, generated captions, representative frames, processing history, settings, and application database are primarily stored on the computer or server where you run Travel Publisher. The application may read video metadata and extract a small number of frames to prepare caption suggestions. People who can access that computer or its local network may be able to access the application according to your system configuration.
AI-assisted caption generation
When you request a caption suggestion, representative frames and relevant context may be sent to an OpenAI AI service, including OpenAI Codex, for analysis. The full video is not normally sent for caption generation. Information sent to OpenAI is handled under OpenAI's applicable terms and privacy practices. AI output may be inaccurate and should be reviewed before use.
TikTok account connection
Travel Publisher uses TikTok's official OAuth authorization process to connect an account. You sign in directly with TikTok. Travel Publisher does not receive or store your TikTok password. After authorization, TikTok provides access and refresh credentials, account identifiers, approved scopes, and expiration information. These credentials are stored locally or server-side in the application's local database and are used to perform actions you request. Disconnecting TikTok removes the locally stored connection record and requests token revocation when available.
Publishing to TikTok
When you explicitly confirm a publication, the selected video, saved caption, hashtags, interaction choices, commercial-content settings, and technical upload information may be transmitted to TikTok. TikTok processes this information under its own terms, privacy policy, developer rules, and account settings.
How information is used
Information is used to operate requested features: previewing videos, producing caption suggestions, saving edits, connecting an authorized TikTok account, transferring confirmed posts, displaying upload progress, and preserving local processing history. Travel Publisher does not sell personal data.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you delete it, disconnect an account, remove application files, or apply your own retention practices. The application provides controls for deleting videos and related local records. Deleting local data does not automatically delete information already transmitted to TikTok or OpenAI; use the applicable third-party account and privacy controls for those services.
Third-party services
TikTok and OpenAI are independent third-party service providers. Their services, data practices, availability, and policies are controlled by them. This policy does not replace their privacy notices.
Security and choices
Travel Publisher takes practical steps to keep tokens server-side and avoid exposing local application data through this informational website. No system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for securing the computer, local network, backups, and accounts where you operate the application. You can choose not to connect TikTok, not to request AI assistance, or not to publish a video.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the application or third-party requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
